BLOOD BANK REFRIGERATORS 

Helmer offers full line of blood bank refrigerators with exceptional benefits to provide the most secure environment for storage of valuable blood products. These refrigerators are designed and manufactured specifically for the blood bank and feature superior cabinet construction, chart recorders, foamed-in-place urethane insulation, and uniform temperature with quick recovery. Blood bank refrigerators are available in both the i.Series® and Horizon SeriesT lines. A wide range of capacities are available in both single and double door models. All Helmer Blood Bank Refrigerators meet the standards established by the AABB, ARC, and FDA for whole blood storage at 4 C.

HORIZON SERIES BLOOD BANK REFRIGERATORS 

Refrigeration system
  • Heavy-duty, air-cooled refrigeration system.
  • Non-CFC, commercially available refrigerant.
  • Automatic condensate evaporator is standard.
  • Internal evaporator fan(s) shut off during door openings.
  • Forced air circulation maintains chamber uniformity of +/-1ºC and provides quick recovery.
  • Balance flow refrigeration system eliminates defrost cycle and maintains constant temperatures.
Cabinet construction
Exterior, interior, and door handle(s) made from galvannealed steel with bacteria-resistant powder coating.
  • Superior engineered frame for maximum rigidity.
  • Contoured door handles.
  • Minimum of 5cm non-CFC foamed urethane insulation.
  • Heated, dual-pane, insulated glass door(s) remove fogging and condensation.
  • Standard key lock.
  • Drawer standards are stainless steel to guard against rust and corrosion.
  • Recessed floor contains spills for easy clean-up.
  • Interior fluorescent lighting with control panel mounted switch.
  • Swivel locking casters.
  • Access port located in chamber top for external monitoring probe.
  • Innovative self-closing Sure-Seal door system eliminates the problem of broken mechanical latches.
Drawers
  • Solid stainless steel pull out drawers.
  • Drawers are 10cm high.
  • Drawer height is adjustable on 2.5cm centres.
  • Durable, liquid-tight construction for containment of spills.
  • Easy access to inventory with fully extendable drawer slides.
  • Scratch-Guard edge protectors keep glass doors from being scratched.
  • Tube-Guard drawer shields minimize the risk of tubing being damaged in the drawer slides.

HORIZON SERIES BLOOD BANK REFRIGERATORS 

Horizon Series Refrigerators offer a microprocessor temperature controller and alarm/monitoring system. Double and single door units are available in depths of 75cm and 91cm. Double door models include 12 drawers. Single door models include 6 drawers.

Temperature control and monitoring
  • All Horizon Series Blood Bank Refrigerators feature a microprocessor temperature controller with a built-in alarm/monitor
  • Single, stainless steel monitoring probe is located in the product simulation bottle.
  • Four inch, 7-day circular chart recorder with the following features:
    -Inkless, pressure-sensitive chart paper with a range of -5ºC to +20ºC.
    -Electronic drive mechanism for consistent results.
    -Battery backup ensures continuous operation.
    -Touch button controls for chart changes and calibration.
    -Power status indicator.

I SERIES 

i.Series refrigerators are monitored with Helmer's exclusive i.Center technology. The i.Center constantly monitors the chamber temperature and critical refrigerator functions, safeguarding the products inside and providing valuable information to the user. A large, digital viewscreen provides easy access to all i.Center functions and features.
